What a Reddit profile search shows you

A Reddit profile search takes a username and returns everything Reddit publishes about that account: karma split into post, comment and awardee totals, the account creation date, and the public posts and comments it has left across every subreddit. It cannot show private messages, votes, or anything Reddit keeps hidden.

How it works

  1. Enter a username, a u/ handle, or paste a full profile URL.
  2. The account is resolved for karma, account age and status flags.
  3. Posts and comments are read across several sort orders, then combined with Reddit's search and a public archive.
  4. Results are merged and de-duplicated, with the most active subreddits calculated from what came back.

What it cannot do

Everything here comes from data Reddit publishes openly. No tool can reach the following, and Reddit has no private profile setting to bypass in the first place.

  • Private messages, chats, and anything behind a login.
  • Upvote and downvote history, private since 2017.
  • Email address, real name, IP address or location.
  • Saved posts, hidden posts, or subreddit subscriptions.
  • Anything from a suspended or shadowbanned account, or a private subreddit.
  • A complete history. Reddit's listings stop at roughly 1,000 items per sort order.

Frequently asked questions

Can you search a Reddit profile for free?
Yes. Reddit profiles are public, and you can search one here without an account. A free account raises your limit, and a one-time Lifetime Pro unlock removes it.
Can you view a private Reddit profile?
No. Reddit has no private profile setting, so there is nothing to unlock. A profile that will not load is suspended, shadowbanned, deleted, or has its listings hidden, and none of those expose content to any tool.
Will the person know I searched for their profile?
No. Reddit does not record or report profile views to anyone, so there is nothing for them to see. Searches made here are not visible to the account you look up.
Do I need the exact username?
Yes. Reddit has no partial or fuzzy username matching, so a near miss returns nothing. Capitalisation is ignored, and a u/ handle or full profile URL works too.
Can you see someone's deleted Reddit posts?
Sometimes. If a public archive captured the content before it was deleted, it may still be readable. Anything deleted before it was archived is gone permanently.
How far back does the search go?
Reddit's listings stop at roughly 1,000 items per sort order. Reading several sort orders and a public archive recovers considerably more, but a very old or very active account will still have gaps.
