How to See Hidden Reddit Posts

Quick answer

To see hidden Reddit posts, search for the account by username instead of opening its profile. Hiding only removes posts and comments from the profile page. They are still public in the subreddits where they were written. Paste the username into the box above and we find them across Reddit, a public archive and the web.

Step by step

1. 1

   Copy their username

Copy the username from their Reddit profile, a post or a comment. A u/ handle or a reddit.com/user/ link works too.

2. 2

Paste it in the search box

Paste it into the search box at the top of this page and press Search. You don't need a Reddit account.

3. 3

   Read their posts and comments

We search for that author across Reddit, a public Reddit archive and the web, then show their posts and comments newest first, with the subreddit and date on each.

Here's what you'll see

Is it hidden, or something else?

• Shows karma but no posts: hidden. You can usually see the posts with a search.
• Shows a suspension notice: suspended. Reddit stops serving the account.
• "Page not found": shadowbanned, deleted or never existed.
• Old posts show [deleted]: the account was deleted. Only archived copies may remain, explained here.

Common mistakes

• Scrolling the profile page. It will stay empty. Search by author instead.
• Using Reddit's own search for comments. Reddit's search doesn't cover comment text, so hidden comments won't show up there.
• Giving your password to an "unlocker" site. There is nothing to unlock, and no tool can show messages or votes.
