Honestly the best advice I got was to just start, even if it's bad at first.

Check the RAM is in the right slots first, that fixed it for me.

Can you view a private Reddit profile?
Yes, in most cases, because Reddit profiles are never truly private. Reddit has no private account setting. When a profile looks private, the owner has only hidden their posts and comments from the profile page. The posts and comments are still public in the subreddits where they were written. Search the username here and we find them for you.
"Private" vs. what Reddit actually does
| What you see | What it really is | Can we show it? |
|---|---|---|
| Karma, but no posts or comments | Hidden profile | Yes, usually |
| A suspension notice | Suspended account | No |
| "Page not found" | Shadowbanned, deleted, or never existed | No |
How it works
- 1. Type the username. A u/ handle or reddit.com/user/ link works too.
- 2. We search for that author, not the profile page. We look through Reddit's search, a public Reddit archive and the web.
- 3. You see their posts and comments, newest first, with the subreddit, score and date on each.
Be careful with "private profile unlockers"
- Never give your Reddit password to a site that promises to unlock a private profile. There is nothing to unlock.
- Ignore "complete a survey" or app download walls. Those are a common trick on fake viewer sites.
- No tool can show messages, votes or saved posts. If a site says it can, it is not telling the truth.
What this tool can't show
- Private messages, chats, upvotes, downvotes or saved posts.
- Posts in private or quarantined subreddits.
- Suspended or shadowbanned accounts.
- Every single post. Coverage depends on what our sources hold, so some posts can be missing. More detail in can Reddit profiles be private.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a private Reddit profile viewer?
Not in the way the name suggests, because Reddit has no private profile setting. What people call a private profile is a hidden one: the owner has hidden their posts and comments from the profile page. Those posts and comments are still public in their subreddits, and a username search like this one finds them.
Can you make a Reddit account private?
No. Reddit lets you hide posts and comments from your profile page, but everything you post in a public subreddit stays public there. There is no setting that makes an account's content visible only to approved followers.
Will they know I looked at their profile?
No. Reddit does not record or report profile views to anyone, and this search never contacts the account. The person cannot tell that you looked.
Can it show private messages, chats or upvotes?
No. Messages, chats, upvotes, downvotes, saved posts and subscriptions are visible only to the account owner. No tool can get them, and any tool claiming it can is not telling the truth.
Do I need to log in or give my Reddit password?
No. You do not need a Reddit account at all. Never give your Reddit password to a site that says it can unlock private profiles.
Is it free?
Yes, you can search without an account. A free account raises the limit, and a paid plan removes it and shows the full history instead of a preview.
